A Fate To Hate

I knew I would have an awful day today since last night when I stayed awake through the night with Skye, she was leaving in a couple of days and we are both trying to spend more time together before she leaves.

I dragged myself sluggishly up the stairs after Gladys had yelled sternly for me to get my duties done.

Can you just shut the ** up old woman?

I hissed under my breath.

My body protested while I cleaned the room and coincidentally it was not dirty or messy.

After I quickly got it tidied, I stood by the foot of the huge bed and was tempted to crawl on it.

My brain opposed the idea but my limbs act on their own and I gently lay down on it covering myself with the quilt.

I moan in relief, the owner of the room won be returning anytime soon anyways.

Sleep came the minute I closed my eyes and was deep into the slumber when I heard someone open the door.

I dismissed the thought hoping it was a dream, but the sound of muffled footsteps on the soft rug forced my eyes open.

My sight landed on the man unbuttoning his shirt, he looked familiar I thought faintly while I could feel myself beginning to drift off to sleep again.

Remembering Im still at work, my senses slowly return. The amused look on the mans face gradually made me recognize him.

”Im sorry sir I was tired, So I decided to borrow your bed for a little while ” I said while stretching.

I must be crazy. I laugh inwardly at what I just said, maybe the sleep has gotten to my brain.

”Okay Im back now, don you think its time you get up? ” I could hear laughter in his voice or was I imagining it.

I ignore what he just said, its not like he could fire me for sleeping on his bed.

I was tired and I apologized.

When I heard water rushing from the bathroom I realised I was alone.

He had let me continue to lay on his bed.

The moment the door separating the room from the bathroom opened I sat up slowly, he was dressed in some leisure clothes and looked refreshed.

His hair was still dripping wet and he did not mind as he let the water drip on him.

I can imagine myself getting annoyed by water dripping on my body after drying off.

”You came earlier than usual, ” I said while he was opening the drawers.

”You noticed ”

”Have you deliberately been making yourself scarce anytime I return home? ”

He asked thoughtfully.

”Not really but Im just trying not to walk in on some embarrassing moment ” I replied plainly which is true.

I have been happy this week has been going smoothly for me here rather than how eventful it has always been and no weird items in the room while cleaning and Im praying it remains that way.

”Have you forgotten we had an agreement? ” The question hit me and my eyes went wide immediately.

I never thought he would remember that. I believed he was just joking when he said that.

”I can remember clearly ” my voice had gotten a little louder in a defensive tone.

”So what do you want in return for that? ” I asked through gritted teeth.

He folded his arms at my question, laughter swirling in his eyes.

For a second I noticed how beautiful his eyes were, his eyes are black matching the colour of his hair.

His lips were like every typical mans lips, just a straight line slightly pink and sensual.

”I want you to be my personal maid and you will be by my side all day ” when the words flew out of his mouth it was the funniest thing I ever heard in a while he must be a joker.

I went into a fit of laughter unable to stop myself.

After getting the laughter outta me.

I climb off the bed and approach him carefully.

”And do you think I would agree to that? ” I ask him seriously.

He looked back at my large eyes staring up at him.

”I know you won but I can persuade you to agree ” He replied, and for the first I became dumbfounded.

Why would he need someone like me to be by him?.

Im not of any importance to him.

”These past days I have been unable to get you out of my mind and I don know why. But the need to have you close is getting unbearable ”. The words sound foreign to me, I cannot comprehend what he just said.

”Excuse me ” I said under my breath and dash out the door like the devil was on my tail.

What did I just hear?.

He must have gone crazy to say those words to me.

Want me?.

No!

He had gone mad.

”Come to think of it, he has a girlfriend. ”

I thought out loud, unaware of the girl in front of me.

”Who has a girlfriend? ” A girl about my age asked, she had a look on her face like she was about to laugh.

She has only just started working here for a week now and she has been trying to get close to me.

I think she is kind , but I don trust her pretty face.

”Its no one ” I replied feeling embarrassed.

I am still flustered while I try to get my mind back to normal.

”Gladys has been looking for you ” she informed me before leaving me alone by the foot of the stairs.

I headed towards the part of the building reserved for maids and I entered the one I shared with some of the girls.

I am glad that I don live here because nights here would be a hassle.

I change my clothes rapidly, I want to leave before Gladys finds me here.

I always leave by this time anyways.
