Evolution of Undead to the Peak

”What the hell fell into us?! ” The scary guy shouted as he pushed Leon.

Leon flung back and rolled on the ground. Rubbing his head,or skull, he stood. The bandits also stood slowly and glared at the skeleton.

As they saw the skeleton, they were a little surprised as it was not common to see skeletons falling from a tree.

Leon looked at the little girl then the two adults, with a complicated feeling.

I finally met humans… And what is the situation here robbery or banditry… Wait, all of them are the same. Leon didn know the situation and tried to think it through.

As heard the scream of the bandit, he wasn sure of what he heard. The sound was clear but the voice wasn . The voice entered his head, and trickled his skull. It was like a radio with a bad signal.

”Well well, what do we have here? An undead roaming freely in the forest. What are the adventurers even doing? ” The funny looking guy commented.

”Lets deal with it quickly, we have the girl to play with. ” The scary guy cracked his knuckles, as he knew skeletons are the most common undead that any adventurer could defeat.

”Die! ” Leon was still in trance as he didn understand the language clearly. He could get bits of it but other bits sounded different. It was like half of it was English and the other half was Latin.

But, the die was clear and he understood it. The dagger in his hand was visible but it was ignored by the bandits.

As the scary bandit extended his hand fastly to punch Leon, Leon ducked and dodged the punch.

It surprised the scary guy as dodging undead were rare. As far as he knew, undead would either charge first or get beaten.

He was going to think it as a coincidence but the next action of Leon completely shocked him and doubted his knowledge.

He was still in the punching position, and Leon, who ducked, equipped his dagger and stabbed the bandit on his stomach.

Psss!

As the dagger penetrated his stomach, blood gushed and the bandit lost his footing and fell back where Leon stood on top of him.

Before the bandit could react, Leon pulled back the dagger and then strongly stabbed his chest.

”Gah! ” He vomited blood. Blood flowed from his lips and his face pale.

Psss! Psss! Psss!

Leon stabbed the bandit on his chest repeatedly until he died.

The funny looking guy was dumbfounded and scared. He wasn a strong guy, so when he saw Leon brutally killing his companion he trembled in terror.

Leons hollow eyes stared at the funny looking guy. The guy shivered and reflexively took a step back.

”I-I am… am not his friend. Please spare me! ” The funny looking knelt directly and begged.

But Leon only understood words like I, friend and me. The verbs used were so unfamiliar.

Leon pondered on what to do. He was also shocked as he killed a human.

Honestly, I don feel anything killing a living being. It feels… nothing. Even when he looked at the dead guy, he felt nothing. No disgust, no fear and not even any remorse. He felt it was the right thing to do.

Welp, lets leave it. He didn want to waste his brain cells on emotions. What should I do with this weird looking guy?

The guy was frozen in a kneeling position fearing if he moved a bit the undead will kill him.

… Well, he can go away. Lets not care much. Leon wasn a guy who liked killing. But suddenly, the corpse on the ground emitted blue light.

The blue light accumulated at one point and turned into a big blue ball. And the ball zoomed inside Leons chest.

Suddenly, he obtained EXP which he didn even expect. Or maybe just forgot. And it wasn a small amount but a whole 200. He who only got 10 EXP, 200 EXP was a huge amount.

His head tilted at the funny looking guy and he was tempted to kill him. But, he held his urge.

I don wanna be a monster, killing mindlessly for EXP. So, I will let him go, if he attacks him, then I will kill him. Leon thought. He wasn expecting any revenge back as he was someone who never had any enemy.

Not to mention, the concept of revenge was far in his mind.

The funny looking man saw Leon kit minding him, so he stood and ran as fast he could.

Tch! Just wait for me next time. He shouted in his heart as he didn dare to speak loud.

Leon then shifted his head to the little girl, who was vomiting. She had never seen a human getting killed, and it was too gruesome for her.

After letting everything out from her intestine, she looked at the skeleton with fear and terror. She was too scared of this monster.

Hmm… she must be scared. How should I approach her… He thought.

Hello? He raised his hand and tried to appear friendly trying to form a friendly smile. I am just your friendly neighborhood skeleton.

The girl cowered as she saw a skeleton coming closer. With more tears and snot, she closed her eyes bracing for what came.

But even after a long time, she didn feel anything so she opened her eyes.

Her eyes widened as she saw hollow eyes and white bony face right in front of her. Her heart raced and she fell unconscious.

She fell on the ground leaving Leon helpless.
