Gu Xi flipped to a group photo with names on the bottom and looked through the names carefully.
Unfortunately, there was nobody with the surname Jie there.

She flipped through a few more and the only one with the surname Jie seemed to be slightly younger than Old Mr.
Gu.
He most likely was not Old Mr.
Gu’s teacher who had set him up in the novel.

That being said, Gu Xi did not want to give up.
She pointed at the person in the photo with that name and asked, “Who is this, Grandpa?”

“This one?” Old Mr.
Gu stuck his head over, thought about it some before he said, “Oh, he was not in our squad.
He was in Squad #3……

“What’s the matter?” asked Old Mr.
Gu dubiously.

Gu Xi shook her head quickly and said, “Oh, nothing.
He looked like a very popular idol.”

“Do you have any more photos, Grandpa?” asked Gu Xi again, still refusing to give up.

I am not that much into keeping photos when I was young.
These were collected by your grandmother.” Pausing, Old Mr.
Gu smiled at Gu Xi.
“What is it? Xixi wants to see more photos?”

Gu Xi nodded, then shook her head and looked for an excuse.
“I noticed that Grandpa is super attractive when he was young so I want to see more.”

Pausing, Gu Xi quickly added, “You are still a handsome man at your age.”

Old Mr.
Gu was delighted by her words.
He shook his hand and said, “Back in the days nobody cared about how you look.
It was all about now competent you are.
Har har har.”

Even as he said that, Old Mr.
Gu was still very delighted.

Gu Xi looked over at the photos that Gu Chenyi had posted in their group chat.
There was a sense of warmth in her heart but she also lamented.

Whether it was back then or now, this was a very happy family.

“That’s a direction that we can consider,” said Gu Feng.

Gu Shao did not comment.

The three then talked about how Gu Feng had been injured in one of his past assignments.

That was when Old Mr.

Gu Feng was able to gather some evidences against Gu Yaobai regarding the mysterious accident and had someone picked him up.

Then, the Gu family was able to collect more evidences and the entire incident seemed to be more complicated than it appeared.
Gu Yaobai was one of them but there seemed to be more people involved than just him.
