The world was once in a crisis.

There were nine kingdoms in one continent.

It was a temporary peaceful world built thanks to its perfect military balance.

But it collapsed only ten years ago.

It was around that time that the evil dragon appeared on the faraway lands of the north.

Heading towards one northern country, the feared evil dragon was called Colchis.

That dragon easily ate people as if mowing rice, forcing that kingdom to a downfall crisis.

Several countries joined forces, sending an army of subjugation.

But simply speaking, the evil dragon was an invincible existence.

It’s black and shiny scales were harder than steel, even ballista arrows and battering rams were repelled.

And then, from heights that neither swords nor spears could reach, the dragon breathed a red hot breath capable of melting steel and burned people like charcoal.

The battle was too much of a one-sided trampling, the evil dragon was infuriated in this case.

People who are just food and toys tried to attack it.
That fact was unforgivable.

The evil dragon immediately aimed to the kingdom’s capital, frying its castle together with every single statesman.

Furthermore, spreading its wings to the neighboring countries, all towns saw their last day as they were violated.

In this messed up matter, the three northern countries were wiped out in a flash.

Like this, the other six countries finally understood the world crisis that was happening.

However, there was nothing they could do.

Even with a large army, it wasn’t possible to give even a single scratch on the evil dragon.

In that case, what they could do to subjugate the evil dragon?

Moreover, if they fail all countries would be burned down in retaliation.

If they move the armed force, there will be retaliation.

That’s not to say, without the army, the military strength will be insufficient.

The worried countries’ leaders finally found a solution to this problem.

They selected the biggest fighting strength from each country, making a team of unrelated vagrant, and attack the evil dragon.

Because there isn’t any country involvement, there’s no need to worry about retaliation.

Also, because the army isn’t moving, it’s easy to induce carelessness and they can secretly move.

The disadvantage of having a small number of people can also be compensated if it’s inside the cave that became the evil dragon’s den.

Rather, they thought it’d be better if it’s inside the cave so it can’t turn the tides flying into the sky.

Thus, each country selected one of the six heroes.

One country, a human hero holding the holy sword, Lyel.

One country, a dwarf warrior holding the sacred shield, Gadols.

One country, an elf who comprehended every magic, Maxwell.

One country, a human saint that heals any wound as long as you’re alive, Maria.

One country, a wise woman of the cat people that took down a thousand lives with one mouth, Cortina.

One country, a half-demon whose name is famous as an assassin of the Shadow Feather, Raid was picked up.

According with expectations, those powerful people ended this fierce battle, the evil dragon Colchis was shown subjugation.

Without losing even one person, they raised unprecedented achievements—-However, that was too much for their home countries.

Lyel and Gadols fame shake the throne, Maria and Cortina popularity exceeded the Pope’s powers.

With the exception of Maxwell, who was the prince of the Elf Country, all five heroes positions were beyond control.

The powerful people feared retaliation by the heroes.
And then there was the hero Raid…

Among the six heroes, the hero Raid was a heterogeneous existence.

He was an assassin, but he wasn’t evil.

He who fought and killed according to his justice, was feared.

The criteria of good and evil were purely based on himself, that draw a line between him and other powerful people.

Originally such reckless action would not be permitted.
But his fighting strength was enough to push through it.

For this reason, as a hero—it can be said that they were selected as mankind’s trump card.

In the end, they were expelled from their hometown under the pretext that was for the revival of the three ruined countries.

However, it was an assumed event to them.

The wise woman Cortina had already predicted that circumstances in advance.

Of course, so as to not get antagonized, each country gave them rewards as a mean of holding down their spirits of rebellion.

The heroes knew the real intentions of those powerful people, but they went to the remote region obediently.

That conflict was useless, they were not interested in political power, and just wanted to spend the rest of their life peacefully.

But the heroes eventually approached the end.

Everything started with Lyel and Maria marriage.

As they got together, the party was disbanded.

There was no problem in their relationship, the problem came afterwards.

The superior ability they carried was too much big of a power for the other adventurers to adapt.

Moreover, Gadols realized his dream of owning a store and retired.

With all main forces retired, Maxwell returned to his hometown already as a king.

Losing their destination, only Raid and Cortina continued being adventurers.

But eventually, there was an event where Raid had to fight against the Devil alone and ended up losing his life.

Rescue did not make it in time, and Cortina now all alone, also retired in despair.

Maxwell decided to settle down teaching at his newly opened magic school.

And then time passed… Ten years have passed.
