Angels had no excrement, which meant that the only bodily fluids they had were blood, sweat, and tears.

At that moment, Yuriel had been letting out quite a lot of the last of those fluids.
‘I feel so lonely… I’m so lonely…’ she thought, throwing a tearful tantrum while flapping her white wings and rubbing her soft thighs against the clouds she was resting on.

“Goddess-nim… I feel so lonely…” she said softly as a tear rolled down her soft cheek.
However, there was no response.

Yuriel got on her knees and mumbled sadly, “…I want to drink alcohol.”

Who would have known that the goddess would punish her for bringing wine from the continent? The wine she got from Kang Yoon-Soo had suddenly disappeared before she could even take a sip.
Afterard, Yuriel had been trapped in this place for a long time, unable to contact any of the other angels.
Additionally, some of the angels were actually ignoring her on purpose.

‘I feel empty and depressed… I’d be okay with anyone, so please… Can someone come and entertain me…?’ she thought as she cried after being overcome with loneliness.
She usually felt better after crying her sadness out, but it was not working this time.
Yuriel flapped her wings as she thought, ‘I won’t hate the goddess.
I shouldn’t! She’s getting weaker these days…’

The one who should not exist on the continent…

The goddess was getting weaker by the day because of the one who should not exist on the continent, and Yuriel hoped that Kang Yoon-Soo would be able to kill that person as soon as possible.

At that moment…

“Huh?” Yuriel exclaimed softly in surprise as a magic circle appeared in front of her.
It was a gate to the continent.
Her expression brightened in an instant as she exclaimed, “Ah! You stupid creature!”

The continent was an interesting place for her, and everything in the realm of the angels had started feeling boring after she returned from it.
She had fought against the Vampire Lord and had her blood sucked, but it was still a fun and exciting experience for her.
She could not help but overflow with joy whenever she talked to Kang Yoon-Soo and his companions.

Yuriel wiped her tears away and smiled brightly before thinking, ‘I was really lonely, so I hope a lot of fun and exciting things will happen.
I’ll chat a lot with the creature this time!’

Thus, she descended onto the continent expectantly.

***

‘An angel should only be summoned during the most dangerous of situations,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought as he crawled carefully.

Loud blasts filled the air overhead, and the demons that had been busy flying around or playing with the corpses of the dead looked around.

“What’s going on?”

“It looks as if some idiot used a magic scroll.”

“Is it magic from the continent? I wonder if it will even scratch my body.”

The arrogant demons did not bat an eye at the approaching calamities.
As inhabitants of Pandemonium, they were already used to disasters, and they were always looking for something new to entertain them.
The disaster that was fast approaching the thirty-two demons was nothing but an everyday occurrence for them, or so they thought.
However, it did not take them long to realize that they had misjudged the situation.

A red meteor came crashing and split the sky open.

Booooooooom!

A sight that would never appear on the continent ever again appeared before their eyes.
Numerous meteors rained down from the sky, and they caused an unimaginably powerful earthquake all across the rift.

Kang Yoon-Soo crouched and braced himself while the screams of the victims filled the air behind him.

“Kyaaaaak!”

“Help me!”

[The Fairy Queen, Hevia Absoltr the Third, has died after being struck by a meteor.]

[You have failed the Fairy Queen’s quest.]

[You are now an enemy of the fairies, and you will incur their wrath.]

The Fairy Queen was not the only one to have died from the meteors.

“D-Damn it! Euuaaahhk!”

A demon was unlucky enough to be hit by numerous meteors simultaneously.
Another, even larger meteor fell from the sky and dealt the final blow.
Despite its powerful vitality, the demon was crushed to death on the spot.

[The lower-ranked demon, Revicain, has died after being struck by meteors.]

The other demons suddenly became nervous after seeing one of their own dying to the meteors.

‘I have to get away from here.’

‘I don’t like it, but I have no choice… I have to run.’

It was at that moment that a flurry of messages popped up before them.

[The Day of Destruction has begun.]

[All disasters have become stronger.]

[Your chances of survival have been significantly reduced.]

[The Ultimate Disaster will fall upon the entire area once all other calamities have ended.]

[The Meteor Storm will reach its peak and wreak havoc across the rift in five hours.]

[The Ultimate Frost has created a small Ice Sun in the sky.]

[The Ice Sun will stay in the sky for half a day.]

[The Ice Sun will restrict all living things from leaving the area.]

[No one is allowed to leave the rift.]

[The second wave of meteors will rain across the sky soon.]

They were messages that would send a chill down anyone’s spine.

“Impossible!”

“What the hell is this supposed to mean?!”

“Why the hell are these disasters coming all at once?!”

It was only then that the demons started to fully understand the severity of the situation, and they began to scream in panic.

Meanwhile, Kang Yoon-Soo was quietly observing the demons from a distance.

‘There are only intermediate-ranked and low-ranked demons in the rift, and it won’t be difficult to kill all of them.
The endless stream of disasters will wipe them out for sure,’ he thought.
The only problem was his own survival.
He had to survive something that even the demons could not withstand.

‘I should have considered myself dead the moment I used the magic scrolls,’ he thought.
The indiscriminate destructive power of the magic scrolls was so great that the survival of their user could not be guaranteed.
That was the main reason why he had decided to use all of them in the trial.

‘I won’t lose my life even if I die in the trial… However…’ he thought.

Dying in the trial meant that he would be put in a coma in the real world, and he did not have the luxury of time, considering he had no idea when the Demon Lord was going to appear this time.
Thus, he had no plans to die before he completed the trial.

‘There’s only one way…’ he thought.
It was impossible to survive this hellhole alone, and he needed an ally to assist him.
Thus, he stood up and walked to a fissure on the ground.
‘This will be a nice spot.’

A crater had formed near the burning fissure after a meteor struck it.
Kang Yoon-Soo threw the brightly shining angel’s hair he was holding into the fire, and a brilliant radiance exploded out of it.

[The angel, Yuriel, has descended.]

[This is the angel’s second descent!]

[Time Remaining: 6 Hours.]

A half-naked angel descended from the black clouds in the darkened sky, flapping her wings like a bird.
Yuriel hugged Kang Yoon-Soo and exclaimed, “Wow! Wow! Insignificant creature! I really missed you!” She rubbed her cheek wildly on his chest.

However, Kang Yoon-Soo replied in an emotionless voice, “So you immediately recognized me.”

“What do you mean? Angels do not look at the outer shell, but rather at the soul inside.
So, why would I not be able to recognize you?” Yuriel replied while smiling sheepishly.

She then looked at Kang Yoon-Soo’s injury-covered body and asked, “What happened to you? How did you get so hurt?”

She then breathed in deeply, then exhaled onto Kang Yoon-Soo.
The injuries all over his body healed in an instant.

‘It’s much simpler than saving the fairies one by one,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought as he observed the effect of the angel’s breath.
He could feel powerful energy welling up his body now that all of his injuries were healed.
The Paladin in the trial was actually quite powerful, but at the start of the trial, he was just too severely injured to even have the energy to walk.

Yuriel observed the rift innocently and asked, “Wow, where is this place? It looks darker and more dangerous than the vampire city I went to last time.”

“Watch out,” Kang Yoon-Soo said.

“Hmm? Watch what?” Yuriel asked, tilting her head in confusion.
At that moment, a powerful bolt of lightning grazed her wing.

“Kyaaaah!” She screamed in surprise and flew closer to Kang Yoon-Soo’s side.

A group of demons appeared some distance away from them.

“That bitch is emitting dirty holy energy!”

“Did that damn species cause the disasters? It doesn’t matter.
I’ll drag that dirty bitch to the ground with me!”

“I’ll kill her! I’ll be the first to rip that angel to shreds!”

‘This is unexpected…’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought, furrowing his brow.
He had initially summoned the angel to heal himself and use her as a mode of transportation, but he had not predicted the scenario of the demons ganging up against the angel.
‘It seems the relationship between the angels and demons is much worse than I initially thought.’

Yuriel clung to Kang Yoon-Soo and asked in a trembling voice, “Hey, insignificant creature.
What are those? They look so scary!”

“Let go of me before you speak,” Kang Yoon-Soo said.

“T-They said that they would rip me to shreds!” Yuriel cried.

“You’re stronger than me,” Kang Yoon-Soo replied.
It was only then that Yuriel let go of him.

However, it was impossible for an angel to defeat a group of demons alone, no matter how powerful the angel might be.

‘It doesn’t matter.
The demons will be swept away by the disaster,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought.
Yuriel’s role at the moment was not to massacre the demons.
Rather, they had to survive the disaster before anything else.

‘I need to buy time first,’ Kang Yoon-Soo thought as he glanced at the group of demons rushing toward them. Yuriel only had six hours left on the continent, and he had to hurry in order not to waste the precious angel summon he was using up.

“Yuriel,” Kang Yoon-Soo began.

“Y-Yeah! Hurry! Let’s run away!” Yuriel exclaimed.

“Declare this your holy territory,” Kang Yoon-Soo said.

“Now?” Yuriel asked, her eyes wide in surprise.

Kang Yoon-Soo nodded and replied, “Those are demons.”

“Ah! I see!” Yuriel exclaimed with a clap.
She then snapped her fingers and a bright light exploded from her hand.

[The angel, Yuriel, has declared the Rerbar Rift as her Sanctuary.]

[Twelve Heavenly Statues have been erected in the Sanctuary.]

[You may only create a new Heavenly Paladin after 47 days.]

[Any demon that enters the Sanctuary will immediately be expelled from it.]

[The Sanctuary is overflowing with the purest form of divine power.]

[Unicorns and fairies will appear and put a flower crown on your head if you bring a tasty snack to Yuriel.]

The rift had been declared as the angel’s Sanctuary, and white statues shot up from the ground.
The demons were immediately expelled from the area that had been surrounded by statues like a fence.

“Damn it!”

“It’s a Sanctuary filled with divine power!”

“Stupid bitch! Do you think something like a Sanctuary will be able to stop us forever?!”

The enraged demons unleashed their magic on the Sanctuary’s barrier.
The Heavenly Statues were destroyed not long after, caught between the onslaught and the disasters that were falling upon the Rerbar Rift.

Rumble… Rumble… Rumble… Rumble…

[A sixth of the Rerbar Rift has been devastated.]

[There is a high chance that the entire rift will collapse.]

Yuriel cried out restlessly, “Hey! Insignificant creature! This place is too unstable and the Sanctuary will not be able to last long!”

Kang Yoon-Soo replied, “Let’s go deeper into the rift.”

“Why are we going there?” Yuriel asked.

“There’s a sword I need to collect from there,” Kang Yoon-Soo replied.
That sword was the catalyst required for him to create the two other spirits.

However, Yuriel replied with a worried expression, “Can we not just run away? It will be much more dangerous if we go deeper into the rift.”

“I’ll give you some booze,” Kang Yoon-Soo said.

“I was punished by the goddess because I brought back what you gave me last time!” Yuriel exclaimed, puffing up her cheeks.

However, Kang Yoon-Soo gave her a simple solution that could have only been thought of by a professional alcoholic, saying, “You can drink it all before you go back.”

“Let’s go!” Yuriel enthusiastically replied, then wrapped her arm around Kang Yoon-Soo’s waist and flew into the rift.

The grand, majestic depths of the rift resembled a scene from a masterpiece painting.

“Kyarururk!”

“Kyariririk!”

Many monsters inhabited the rift, and all of them had already been corrupted by the blood of the demons.
Kang Yoon-Soo would normally have had to avoid the gazes of the demons to enter this place and fight against the monsters to achieve his goal.
However, Yuriel flew leisurely over them and entered deeper into the rift.

A single-horned mountain goat appeared out of nowhere and cried loudly, “Kerrrrheuuuuk!”

[The corrupted guardian of the fairies, Kelvatron, has appeared!]

The single-horned mountain goat carried a large ax in one hand and walked on its hind legs.
Behind it was a brightly shining sword; that was the item Kang Yoon-Soo planned to bring back to reality.
