The white shirt was wrinkled up from all the rubbing.

Luo Xiu’s right hand, formed into a fist, pressed and rubbed under his left ribs.

The tiles inside the neat and clean bathroom were so white that they could reflect light.
Only a side light was on and Luo Xiu’s slender body reflected in the mirror.

During the banquet tonight, all of the alcohol that was given to him was blocked by the girl who acted like she was protecting her calf.
He did not have a drop of it.

On top of that, he spent all night watching the girl to make sure that she didn’t get drunk.
He practically ate nothing all night long.

His stomach started to hurt when he was at the banquet and it was getting close to his limit by the time he got to the elevator.

He had just brought the girl back to his room and, when everything had quieted down around him, the pain was more obvious.

Luo Xiu placed his hands on top of the cold marble-stone sink.
Tens of seconds had passed before the pang of pain subsided a little.

He took off his spectacles and placed it to one side.

The bathroom was right next to the closet.
Luo Xiu turned around, pulled open one of the drawers and pulled out a medicine box from inside of it.

There were some peculiarly-shaped white medicines inside of a white vial.
Luo Xiu poured out two of them and took them.
He did not swallow then with water.
The bitter taste lasted on the tip of his tongue for a little while.

He heard some shuffling noises in that 1~2 seconds.

Luo Xiu turned around.

The bathroom had large sliding glass door with wooden frame.
The glass was frosted.
A girl, bare feet with a disheveled jacket on her, stood behind the door and poked her head out with her hands on the door frame.

She looked at him with her dark eyes, her look serious.
“Are you hiding there to have candies by yourself?”

Luo Xiu sighed, feeling helpless with a smile on him.

He hadn’t expected Gu Nian would be so much of a hassle when she was drunk.
Had he known ahead of time, he would have given it more thought before he decided to go along with the plan.

While he remained silent, the girl, tempted by “candies”, had slowly stepped out from the shadow behind the door.

Gu Nian walked over to him while her eyes never once taken off of the white vial that Luo Xiu was still holding in his hand.

Lifting her head up, it looked like she wanted to squeeze some tears out to get some “candies” out of Luo Xiu’s sympathy.

Luo Xiu stopped himself from smiling.
The vial rolled around in his clean palm with the pills jangling inside of it.
With his hand over the sliding door, he leaned down and asked her, “Do you really want it?”

The girl’s eyes lit up.
“Yes!”

“Nope! You can’t have any.”

Right in front of the drunken Gu Nian, the cruel evil dragon revealed his true self and put the vial back inside of the medicine box and then locked it inside the safe.

Luo Xiu closed the door to the closet and, when he turned back around, the first thing he saw was the eyes of the girl, whom he didn’t know was standing so close to him, looking like she was about to cry.

Luo Xiu paused.

He had always known that Gu Nian was a dramatic one since the first day that they’ve met but he didn’t expect that she would reveal that entirely when she was drunk without being prompted.

Even knowing that she was just faking it, but Luo Xiu still wasn’t able to put up with that look for very long.

He finally lifted his hand helplessly, knocked on metal safe, and said, “It’s not candies.
It’s medicine.
And it’s very bitter.”

“Is… that so?” Gu Nian looked at him dubiously.

The girl lowered her head, thought about it some, and looked up abruptly.
With a solemn look, she asked, “Is that medicines for your stomach?”

It looked like she worried about him a lot tonight.
