Feast For a Hundred Ghosts For Peace 7

But that night, Lou Muge slept extremely comfortably.
The cold was banished clean after he got under the covers, and he slept until dawn.

When he opened his eyes, half of Ning Shaosi’s face was buried in the quilt, and his dense eyelashes cast a peaceful shadow on his white face.
Even his steady breathing echoed in his ears.

Lou Muge wasn’t completely sober yet, so the first thought that popped into his head was that the kid was really beautiful.

Seeing Ning Shaosi sleeping soundly, Lou Muge did not disturb him.
He left the warm bed and put on a thick cloak, wrapping himself tightly from head to toe before going out.
The earliest cold breeze in the morning completely awakened his consciousness.

No one was in the courtyard early in the morning, but the door was left open.
Lou Muge stood by the door for a while before gritting his teeth and swiftly scooping well water to wash himself.
When he was sitting on the stairs rubbing his frozen hands, Wen Changchu came in with food in his arms.

Wen Changchu bought meat pies today.
They were steaming hot with white billowing steam, and their fragrance drifted by even from afar.
Lou Muge accepted one in each hand, and when he looked down, he found that the meat in his pies was overflowing.
The scalding heat also made his hands regain their senses.

If Lou Muge’s hands were free, he really would have given Wen Changchu a thumbs up.

Wen Changchu pointed to one of them and said, “This one is for 712.
Don’t eat it.”

Lou Muge looked at him in surprise.
He didn’t expect that after only one night, Wen Changchu’s attitude towards that kid took a huge turn.
So, he swore, “I promise to give it to him intact.”

Wen Changchu then said, “Then I’ll leave ahead and find out how much Zhang Rong knows over there.
We can’t be the only ones busy.”

His proposal was in line with Lou Muge’s thoughts, so he nodded and casually admonished, “Don’t fight with them.”

Wen Changchu snorted disdainfully, “Just them?”

After saying that, he turned around and walked away.
Lou Muge remained seated on the floor, eating his pie.
Now that his stomach was warmed, his whole body became warm.
After eating one, he still wasn’t full.
He raised his eyes and glanced at the quiet door.
Ning Shaosi was still sleeping.

Pies would lose their taste when they were cold, so he could just buy them when the boy awakened.

With this thought in mind, Lou Muge took a huge bite with peace of mind.
He chewed in satisfaction, but when he was about to swallow, he suddenly felt something wrong.

The spicy taste emanated from all sides of his tongue and flowed straight to his brain.
The fiery sensation turned his white face heavily red.
Looking down, the meat of the pie was laced with a large red color.
Even the spice drifted in the air.

Lou Muge flung the pie on the ground.
He was so angry that he felt like his head got swollen: “Wen Changchu, you bastard!”

He’d been wondering how he could be so kind.
It turned out that he tampered with the pie and sprinkled so much chili!

Lou Muge felt that his saliva was akin to a bursting dike.
He couldn’t take into account the strength of his body that easily loses but is difficult to supplement.
He hurriedly released his power to solve the spiciness that spread from his mouth to his intestines and stomach.

The majestic Demon Venerable of all time, who returned with great difficulty, was almost sent back by a meat pie.
Oh, he himself couldn’t accept this result.

The moment Lou Muge released his power, the young man who was sleeping soundly in the house suddenly opened his eyes and got out of bed, all in one go.
He walked out of the room, only wearing a single thin piece of clothing, but before he could take a step, he saw the fuming Lou Muge, sitting in the courtyard.

There was also a pie that had fallen to the ground at his feet.

Ning Shaosi stopped in his tracks and examined Lou Muge’s ugly face.
The large patches of red on his face had yet to fade, so he asked in bewilderment, “What’s wrong with you?”

Lou Muge was not about to admit that he stole his pie and almost ascended to heaven because of its spiciness.
So, he stubbornly shook his head and replied, “Nothing.
Quickly put on your clothes if you’re awake.
Let’s go to the spring.”

Ning Shaosi looked down and found that he didn’t even wear shoes.
He ran out barefoot.
He blushed.
He returned to his room and put on his clothes, and soon, a delicate white porcelain young man emerged.

        Lou Muge also relaxed.
He acted as if nothing had happened, stood up, and patted the dust on his body: “Let’s go.”

In fact, he almost broke his glutinous rice teeth from gnashing.
He wished he could beat Wen Changchu right away.

        Ning Shaosi nodded.
He did not wear his jade crown today, and only a black silk ribbon tied up his long hair.
His black fur robes set off the tall and straight figure of a young man, and the golden pattern on his lapels added a sense of nobility to his figure.

Lou Muge felt that he especially embodied a noble Prince in the Human Realm.
He exuded brightly colored fireworks of the mundane world.
He had less evil aura compared with Wen Changchu, and was more like a pure mortal young man.

        They were both obviously demons.

Lou Muge was tightly wrapped with three layers inside and three layers outside, but he still felt cold.
On the contrary, Ning Shaosi didn’t even put on an overcoat, but his face remained normal in the cold wind.

After leaving the door, there were food stalls on both sides of the street.
Once Lou Muge saw those hot snacks, his throat got a little hot.
He glanced at Ning Shaosi and asked, “Are you hungry?”

His question took Ning Shaosi aback, so he answered, “I can eat or not.”

“Have some,” Lou Muge said, “Do as the locals do.”

When they stood in front of a wonton stall, the aroma of scallion drifted in.
Lou Muge ordered, “Give me two bowls.”

The couple selling the wontons was an older couple.
When the old man saw Lou Muge, his eyes glazed over, and he hurriedly covered the pot, “It’s sold out…”

Barely had his words left when he received a beating from his wife beside him: “Wicked old man, you’re telling lies with eyes wide open.
There’s still  a lot left!”

She then smiled gently at Lou Muge: “Go and take a seat, Miss.
I will bring it to you later.”

        Lou Muge was happy.
It was the first time he was not rejected by someone from Shan’an City.
He nodded obediently and turned around to call Ning Shaosi.
