“If I’m not mistaken, I only had his divine blessing before, however, when I checked with my ‘Appraisal’, it showed ‘Green Spirit King’s Beloved Child’… I lamented over my powerlessness as I watched people being hurt.
Then, the spirit king appeared in front of me.
Afterward, I think he granted my wishes and was honored with his assistance.”

“…I see.
Daisy, how do you plan on living your life from now on? As your father, I would like to know how you truly desire to live your life.
As a person that possesses that degree of divine protection, any noble, royal family, or anyone of any position would happily welcome you in.
Your gift—‘Green Spirit King’s Beloved Child’—is not a joke, but an existence where you could, for example, become the queen of any country if you so desire.”

Father’s face showed not a single hint of joking and he was completely serious.

“In reality, you’re not even at the age to make this sort of decision…” Father continued as he muttered softly and bit his lower lip.

“Father, I’ve already made up my mind about my future.
Please don’t sigh about my matter.”

I smiled at my father, then touched his bitten lower lip with my slim child-like finger and pointed out, “Your lips will crack, you know?”

Father’s expression slightly softened when he heard my words.

“So, what is your wish for your future?”

“My wish is to be a mere independent alchemist in this country and to have my own atelier.
The atelier will be located in a commoner’s district so that people of all regardless of social status can visit… Hence, I already have more than enough funds.
Isn’t that so, Mr.
Vice-Magician?”

I hinted at our ‘business’, specifically using Father’s job title.

“…I didn’t realize you were thinking of that since the beginning of your dealings with the army.
If it hadn’t been for the ordeal on Baptism Day when you were five, I wonder if you would have been able to be more like your older siblings—more like a child your age….
I wonder if we, as parents, were too strict in forcing you to make a decision at the time.”

I shook my head in response to Father’s words, which were mixed with regret.

“It’s because Father and Mother showed me a path that I am able to be who I am today.
If I continued rotting away due to the happenings of the baptism, I surely would not have been anything.
Then, my dream of owning my own atelier would not come true.
Or at least, that’s what I think.”

Father nodded his head in agreement.

“If that’s the case, then as your father, it would be my duty to aid you with all my effort in making your dreams come.”

“…Thank you very much.”

Father’s words made me relax my cheeks calmly.
