When the receptionist saw the woman and child, she immediately put up an unfriendly face.
She lost her patience as she thought that Lu Zhaoyang was one of the many peddlers that she had been encountering daily.

“Get out!” The receptionist scoffed before Lu Zhaoyang could explain.

Little Huo Xu looked at the receptionist and disliked her mean attitude.

Hiring such person as a receptionist by the human resource department of Thunderbolt dismayed Lu Zhaoyang.
She turned around and walked out with the child, thinking of setting an appointment with Huo Yunting outside tonight.

The receptionist snickered.
“She doesn’t look like a peddler but more like a gold digger with a kid, eyeing the highly paid men in Thunderbolt with no sense of shame.”

Hearing what the receptionist said, Lu Zhaoyang stopped in her tracks and glared back.
Used to wear a poker face in her works, most employees seeing her glower would quake in their boots.

The glare sent a chill up the spine of the receptionist, who swallowed subconsciously.
On second thoughts, why should she be intimidated in her turf? So, she fired back.
“What do you want? Get the hell out of here before I call the security.”

Just then, Huo Li walked out of the elevator and saw Lu Zhaoyang there.
He was so surprised and almost called her by her married name, Mrs.
Huo.
“Miss Lu, what a surprise!”

Lu Zhaoyang glanced at him and said, “I am looking for Huo Yunting.”

“Please, this way.
Had I known that you have come to the city, I would have gone to fetch you.” Huo Li was very respectful as he led Lu Zhaoyang and Huo Xu into the elevator reserved for the company’s president.
He held his hand with a ‘please’ gesture all the way.

The receptionist, still feeling the chill, began to come to her senses when she saw that even Huo Li was showing great respect to the woman.
“I am screwed! I have just dug my own grave!” She grabbed her hair in regret, wanting to give herself a slap on the face.

Once they got out of the elevator, Lu Zhaoyang scanned the familiar surroundings where she once worked.
There were not many changes, which only showed how indolent Huo Yunting was.
She turned to Huo Li and said, “Please look after Xuxu while I go in to see him.”

“No problem!” Huo Li liked Little Huo Xu and enthusiastically brought him into his office.
The little guy was cooperative.

Meanwhile, Huo Yunting was reading documents at his desk.
Many things needed his attention, but he could not collect his thoughts and stay focused—because he missed her.
As he reached for the coffee, the door swung open.
He thought it was his secretary but saw in the corner of his eye that it was someone else familiar.

He immediately looked up; sure enough, it was her.
He got up to his feet and could not hold back his excitement; this woman must be missing him, he thought.

To his chagrin, Lu Zhaoyang’s face was sullen.
“Don’t get me wrong.
My mom called and told me everything.
She asked me to help you out in your company.”

“I don’t care.
I have gotten you wrong anyway.” Huo Yunting came up to her with open arms.
“Welcome back.
Why not give your ex-boss a big hug?”
